Peninsula at Prien Lake Park

Thanks guys. Going to be in the area for Friday, so will hit it that morning from the second I can see (nautical daylight) till about 8am or so, to wash up and head to the courthouse.

The time I tried last month and caught a couple specks (as well as a bunch of those aggravating lady fish 2 at a time), it was closer to the bayou where SaltE talked about. However, should I be fishing that with some sort of topwater? I got hung on the bottom several times? Seems like it's almost too shallow with trash out there if I cast to the left where those bumps are.
