Summit Viper SD and Mike's Archery is the best deal I have found.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-2012-Sum...&forceRpt=true I bought mine on a Tuesday and had it by Thursday. I would also suggest getting a Hunter Saftey System. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hunter-Safet...item8960ad9483 |

Some use climbers, some lockons. I use lockons only myself, aluminum frame & aluminum climbing sticks. All weigh less 20 lbs. Not sure what Academy carries. But make sure you use a safety harness whether you decide on a climber or lockon, you want to go home after the hunt.

Ol Man Vision. Or if you a big ol boy, Ol Man Grand Vision . They are climbers. Quiet, folds compact, comfortable. Me and my buddys have been using them for over 15 years and the latest models are the best design they have ever had.

I would only consider getting a light weight stand made of aluminum. They will cost more but you will regreat getting a heavy steel stand to save some money.
Things to consider.......... do you bow hunt or only gun hunt. For gun hunting, a front rail is almost a must, but it gets in the way some for bow hunting. The type of seat.....I like the "chair" type seat but lots of hunter like the "net" style. IMO, the chair gives much better back support for longer hunts in the stand. I have a Summit Viper and have been using it for about 10 years. It is very comfortable and I often make all day hunts in the stand. |

Yep chair style definitely much more comfortable for all day. My lockons are big seat and somewhat comfortable, but not for all day @ 63.

Summit Viper, very comfortable I normally set it where I'm half sitting and
half standing when I'm bowhunting as I'm pretty short and it's hard to shoot sitting. Good luck and make sure to use that saftey harness! |

Do not buy a tree lounger climbing stand. To comfortable , You will sleep more than you hunt.
