Depends on the groups make up. I have use this, a good bowl is about 2 cups gumbo and 1 cup rice, so:
# women X 1.5 X 2 cups gumbo # men X 1.5 X 4 cups gumbo I always had a little left over, but not a lot. Better too much than to run out imo. So if your crowd is half women and half women you would need 23 gallons or 92 quarts.
