Southern, I usually fish deep water with current so I use a heavy weight but your line must be long enough in case debris from the current gets built up on the line because it will pull a gallon jug under and keep it under. Biggest blue so far is 42lbs and if you use bream in fast currert make sure not to hook them in the tail as they won't stay alive long.
