When it gets hot the vegetation over grows the whole marsh and where are the ducks supposed to land when they get here in the winter? Raise the water level in February and drop it in September. Raise the water level in the hot months and it will keep the vegetation down. That would do great for the ducks.

Supposedly would kill or not let the "right" stuff for ducks grow if they did.

It does seem that there would be a "happy medium" somewhere in there.
