Default Lacassine 3-23-13

Me and Bigchaf tried our luck at lacassine today and all I can say is what a difference a year makes! We picked up a few fish, lost a couple at the boat, and I had a big kicker bite my fluke out of nowhere! My personal best bass and it weighed in at 7.14 pounds. Bigchaf even had a catfish smoke his fluke! It's beautiful out there. We had a very enjoyable morning.

Hell yea man. That's awesome. We went yesterday and picked up a few small ones. But fought the wind all evening. But you are right. That place is beautiful!

Awesome.....I still never been there all the years hearing about it. Looking at the pics of the marsh just being out there is worth it. Yall ever tried weedless swimbaits out there? Seems like it would be killer in that shallow water.

No never tried it, but that doesnt sound like a bad idea. We didnt get many bites in open water unless it was over grass. All the fish we caught saturday was beating the banks with flukes. I think one was caught on a black worm with a blue tail.

Thumbs down Burned a big one...why?

Release and let the fishery continue to recover. Keep the smaller ones, they eat better anyway.

If you take a close look at the fish, it was either injured or had mainge, not a wall hanger for sure, and if you look at the other catch of the day it was pretty poor amount when wanting fresh fried fish for supper, so mind your own business.
