I like fishing a spinning reel on an ultra light and bait cast for everything.. I don't know if I'm just weird or what but I fish left handed with a spinning reel and right handed with a bait cast..

Thats the way I use them.

To me spinning reels are far better for lighter baits. you can launch a little nothing bait or just a live minnow on a cail hook (dont know how to spell it) with no problem...

This is pretty much what I've always heard. Who knows I might buy one. Lol. But even with a 1/16oz jighead I have no prob getting it out there with a curado.
