I cant rememeber how long it was, but the Birds of Paradise Episode for Planet Earth took a very long time to capture those birds dancing... guys pulled 16hr shifts in a tent and camo to try and film those birds. Watch the making of the Mountain Goat episode... the weather they endured is nuts.
