Is it going dead or just not running right?? I have a 225 saltwater and if it sits more then3 weeks CPU in motor runs it dead. Put in a battery switch and problem solved on mine.

This is the second battery without enough power to spin the motor fast enough to start.

We do not recommend using optima batteries for engine cranking batteries with any of the newer engines, regardless of brands. We have had too many low voltage problems when they were used in the past. Not sure why because on paper they meet all specs, just know what we have run across a bunch of times. We recommend Interstate 24m-xhd regualar acid batteries.Whatever you use it must be 1000 cca minuim.Optima's are great for troll motor applications.
call if you need more info.Thanks,Mac--361-758-8486
