35 Whelen CVA Elite Stalker

Be careful about using 180 and 200 grain bullets in the 35 Whelen. The Whelen will push those bullets fast and the bullets may not hold up well as those are light bullets for the caliber. If you shoot Barnes bullets it will not matter as they are going to retain a hundred percent weight retention regardless of the weight of the bullet.

The problem with bullets that are light for caliber is that they tend not to exit an animal. They will no doubt kill the crap out of game, but if the animal runs off in a swamp or real thick area you may not have a bloodtrail to follow because you may not have an exit wound.

Just something to consider.
