The Roux (Cooking/BBQ/Recipes) What good is a cajun site without a cooking and recipe forum?

I can't believe any self respecting Cajun countryboy would ever recommend Justin Wilson.

Why Not?

Last Christmas my mom gave me a binder with all of her recipes lots of baked things, fettuccini, and stuff like that. It includes some of her moms and my Maw-maws recipes and some from her sisters, one of the best gifts I ever got.

Some that I have are.

Tom Fitzmorris-New Orleans Food, lots of recipes from NOLA Restaurants
Justin Wilson-Lookin Back
Better Homes and Gardens-Has a lot of things that Cajun cookbooks don't cover and meals that cook pretty quick. Lasagna Recipe is excellent
Joy Of Cooking is another good one, goes over everything from how to boil water to how to poach an egg
Martin Yan-Quick and Easy Asian Cookbook, lots of stir fry
I have about 12 different cookbooks, 1 was from a the telephone company years ago. When schools sell cookbooks, churches I pick one up. But mostly now I get recipes online.

Justin Wilson was not a Cajun or a cook, he was a drunkerd safty man for Exon who got canned for totaling a company car while drivin drunk. Have yall ever tried actually followed one of his recipes? Have ayll ever seen a Cajun man poor good wine into a pot???? He was a not so funny comedian that really got my goat by belittling the culture that I love and live. I truelly feel bad for folks who see him and think that that is the way we cook and are.

Sorry took me so long to answer, I'm at work and service is sketchy at best.
