My understanding is that no navigable waterway in Louisiana is legally "private". Correct me if I'm wrong please. You can fish them, you just can't put a foot on shore.

Yep, stay out of the man made location canals and pipelines. From what i have been told They can be posted.

So the canals off of freshwater bayou hold more reds but some are posted. I've always believed if there is a canal an you can get somewhere that is public from goin through it. Then it is considered navigable!
