I went with the american angler pro model. $80 but it hss the most powerful motor I've seen on an electric knife. Hope it lasts long enough to justify the price tag. But I used it sat. on some drum and sheephead we caught at the jetties and it ran through them like butter. So far so good. BTW....the new pro model is quite a bit different than the older ones. I like it better

I've been using the same Black & Decker "slim grip" for over 20 years. I have no idea how many fish it's cleaned-from crappie to bull reds, and still using the original blades! Every now and then, a product gets it right.
