Yesterday we got an hour or two before the wind started pumping. Today we weren't so lucky. Michael Pennington and his wife Andre jumped onboard the Bluewave at day break. First stop was a reef where I found about 35 trout yesterday. Today it had 1 trout. Where did they go? This is a good example of what these fish are doing. There isn't a lot of bait so there isn't anything keeping these fish anywhere. They are moving all over searching for food. It took us a couple hours just to hit 10. Fortunately my crew stuck with it and the bite got better by midday. No mother load anywhere but 4 fish here and there and by the end of the day a nice box of trout. Matrix Shad in Green Hornet was the best bait all day. Almost all our fish were caught tight lining. Fish were caught in all depths as I had to pull out all the stops today. Thanks Capt. Marty Lacoste for setting up the trip.
