You can also do the same with your local dealership. We were upside down, but the dealership offered to pay our loan off if we bought another vehicle from them. We decided not to, but went to the Toyota dealership with the buy back offer in hand & was able to negotiate a better trade in offer with them & picked up a 4runner 2 nights ago.
