they all do it, had 3 chevy trucks and every single one the dash cracked up after 8-10 years.

they use cheap thin plastic so it gets brittle and cracks when the sun dries it out so if you own a chevy you better keep the dash covered all the time or park it in a garage if you want the truck to last you a long time.

I got a 98 Silverado 1500 with 110,000 miles that still looks and drives like brand new except for one thing, it has 5 long cracks in the dash (3 on drivers side, 2 on passenger side) so its now sectioned itself off into three completely separated pieces of dash board from all the cracks
