Cheers Quick & Easy Trout Limits 8-6-14

Gentry Russo and Lacey LeBlanc joined me today in the big Bluewave!! One stop shop as soon as I killed the engine on the big Yamaha it was fish on. We had the specks coming in hot, 3-6 at a time. Double rigged Matrix and Vortex Shad are the only baits needed right now. No need to waste money on that live bait stuff. Avocado and Green Hornet Matrix and the Purple Haze Vortex have been crushing the fish every day in Dularge. Slow retrieve with a little twitch is what they wanted today. We had 56 fish iced down in the K2 at 6:55, it was looking like a 7 am limit, but a shark moved in on us and started scattering the fish. Things slowed to a crawl, I debated moving but stayed patient. 20 minutes went by and they were back. Number 75 hit the K2 at 7:50 am, and we were headed North seeking reds! We made a drift down a bank and found tailing reds. Gentry sight casted one of them and it immediately destroyed the Spartacus Vortex with gold spinner. About 50 more yards and we had another hit the Purple Haze Vortex on a gold spinner. A few more bumps and the bite went dead. We were watching the fish swim by the baits and they wanted nothing to do with them. Crazy how they just quit biting in the blink of an eye!! Good times by my crew and they can't wait to come back!! Thanks guys for such a incredible day.
