well the one that alphaman posted looks nice and durable but no way to attach a swivel to it. so do you tie a loop knot to the clamp?

Railside Supply has some very small, high test swivels and snap swivels. They are tiny and strong, and I had only seen them in Texas until this point (they may not have them anymore, been a while since I went in).

They are popular with the trout fisherman in south Texas, or at least the guys I met - their water tends to be very clear and these things are so small they claim it doesn't affect anything.

Something like this, I couldn't find the snaps though...

You can attach a swivel to it. you can in clamp one side
