Is your display flashing the neutral "N" or a gear number or dashes"--"? This will give you a code to whats failing. Most likely the angle sensor. Cheap fix ($18-$25 online). Give a dealer your model (ex. TRX420FE) and get part number and price for angle sensor. Part number should be something like 38800-HR3-A21 but I'm not sure of your model ATV.
