Flounder are beginning to make the move offshore to spawn and are very vulnerable at this time to overcatching as they tend to congregate in large schools. We should start showing restraint in catching too many and only keeping as many as we can eat to show we are true sportsmen that care about the resource. I believe Texas has rules in place at this time of year to protect their flounder resource and it may be a good idea to visit their rules and regs.

Should shut down duck hunting too, since the ducks are extremely vulnerable as they congregate in south louisiana through-out winter.
