Paddle for slower presentation or dirty water. My dad doesn't really work plastics so paddle tail does the work for him.
Straight for reaction strikes. I prefer to work a lil john, but if I have Matrix Shad paddle tail I wouldn't hesitate to throw it. For the most part IMO, which ever you are better at working and have more confidence in.
