mono vs braid and which rod

I switched to all spinning rods about 5 years ago just as soon as I found out about Fireline. I use Shimano Stradic FJ 2500 reels with 10 # Fireline and a fluorocarbon leader of about 12-14". I have land many big reds with zero problems and this rig will cast a mile. I can use med/light actions rods because of the no-stretch line. You will wish you had switched earlier!!
