I would say they are designed to take a beating. He has the model that is plugs into the front running light. The one with the magnet would be ideal for your rig. They also sell the HID version on ebay and it shows a comparison of the halogen and HID. The HID is one bad ace light.

this might be a dumb question,but will that magnet stick to aluminum? I did look at the hid,I love alot of light,just not sure if I need quite that much going through the woods to justify that price difference.
