Thru-Hull Transducer?

I'm thinking about installing an in hull transducer. Have an Lowrance unit and lose depth once I accelerate. Does it work well for you at any speed?

idk if my response will help but we glued our standard transducer to the bottom of our bay boat, and we never had a problem reading depth and it picked up temperature too. It takes a little longer for it to acclimate to the actual water temp sense its in the hull but it worked good enough for us. It had to be accurate to about 2-3 degrees if I had to guess

sounds like you transducer needs to be adjusted or is installed too high on your transom. In hull will work at any speed as long as its installed in the right spot. My in-hull was just a standard transducer glued to the hull also
