I've had a RCC poly for about a year now and really like it (first year speck hunting). I've progressed a lot, and am in the market for a higher end call now also. I've heard there isn't much difference in the poly and acrylic RCC's as far as guts go? Is it worth the money or should I stick to my Poly for another season? Or would it be a bad move to try a whole different brand / call since all I've ever known and learned on was this RCC?

So after reading this I decided to try an experiment and took the guts out of the rnt acrylic speck call I don't use and see if it would fit in the barrel of my cocobolo rnt macro hen. It fits and man it sounds good. I think I might have found my new favorite call. I was using a rcc poly because it took less air than the rnt. I also stuck the macrohen guts in the speck barrel ![]() |
