I installed a Mercury vessel view, plugs into the pcm I and use the app on my phone, it will let you know what codes that you are having trouble with, along keeps track of everything else you might not see on the helm, you can also send the information directly to a technician for diagnosis and and hopefully a fix works by Bluetooth on Mercury outboards 2002-up
