A mix of Roundup and 2,4,D. should do the trick....Check first to see if these chemicals are allowed to be applied in your area.

Not tried it with Roseau, but multiple applications of a strong Round-up mix (from concentrate) during the fall have killed everything I've tried it on, including some pretty tough stuff. Most failures with Round-up are related to several mistakes: 1) Expecting a single application to work. 2) Applying when plant is dormant or in spring 3) Weak mix 4) Getting rained on too soon.
Done properly and repeated over time, Round-up will kill any plant lacking the Round-up ready genes. |

We have used a mixture of Habitat and glyphosate to kill them. The mixture together works great. We will spray it and come back within 5-7 days and spray again before the plants turn all the way brown that way we get a double shot before the burndown. This mixture works for us but can be pretty expensive as Habitat is about $400/gal. Doesnt take much of habitat when mixed with glyphosate

You need a surfactant so the liquid sticks to the plants. A few squirts of Dawn will do the trick.

I heard they got some bugs eating it on the east side of the state. U could go over there and cut u a batch of the infected roso and scatter it in ur hole.

I wouldn't bring those scale insects over here. In many places Roseau cane is the only thing holding your marsh together, and these bugs wipe it out.

This ^^^^^ And since they are a non native invasive species . I imagine there would be some very hefty fines associated with transporting them anywhere.

I've had good success with the same mixture described by jpcajun: glyphosphate and imazapyr with a surfactant. 3 ounces per gallon for each and as good a foliar coverage as you can get. It's painfully slow to die and deteriorate, especially since I couldn't burn it after it was dead. But it has stayed gone.
