I could have sworn I read where mixing the 2 together negatively affects the effectiveness of each other. Not sure if that's true or not.

Don’t want to use diquat if possible.

I?ll admit, I don?t know if mixing the 2-4d with the diquat has a negative impact. I got the diquat/surfactant from someone who used to spray right away from an airboat. I guess I figured 2-4d would only aid in the killing. Always learning.

Use generic round up. 1 gallon of round up per acre. We spray from air plane. Works great!! We spray 60 acres.
So 60 gallons generic round up and 600 gallons of water. 10 gallons of water per acre. Smokes everything in its way Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Diquat burns the leaf tissue back faster than the 2-4D and Roundup can translocate through the plant to actually kill it. I have never killed anything with Diquat. I only use it to burn plants back and then set them on fire. I have been spraying aquatics on golf courses for years. The generic roundup works well with surfactant. If you really want to kill it off use some Clear Cast from SePro, but its not cheap.
