Yep, we were out there. The day started out pretty ominously with the thunderstorms around and most peeps were hanging around the landing staring at the radar on their phones. We decided to hit the Cove and wait for a bit to see what developed. Went across to Marsh Island shortly after that. Ended up with 3 reds on live bait and missed three others. Still a good day.

We were there also Friday, caught 8 legal specks and about the same amount of those under 12 inches. All were caught on north side of island. Fished several reefs on south side of island as we avoided storms and caught zero trout and loads of gafftops.

was out Saturday, and gafftops everywhere. fished the east side of marsh island, manages 2 reds and a spec. one red was my personal best over 30 lbs.

The gaftops are getting out of control! They are even catching them way up into the atchafalaya basin.
