Yeh cause y'all from LC. That might as well be considered Texas. One time I was fishing BL and some guys pulled up on me and we started talking. One guy says, "you must be from Lafayette." LOL like its another state or something.

when I went to UL they stated my accent sounded like I was from Texas.

My cousin moved to fort worth area has been there for about 7 years. He done got texaned up over there. Riiiiiight tiiiiiiight liiiiight biiiiiiiiike. It's bad

Haha definitely. Crazy how different accents are just from Lafayette to LC. LC people do talk like Texans. Then I can ride to my deer camp an hour and a half the other way and people talk like Rednecks! Then you can keep going south to Houma/GI and you get the "down da bayou" accent. 4 different accents in one state!
