I have a pair of fathoms I use for my "work" glasses and I have a pair of Man O' War with the 580s as my everyday pair.

I've never owned a pair of Costas. I wear some Wiley X now when I'm fishing. Which isn't very often. LMAO

Thats the old cases,the new Costas come in a weird blue case.I wonder if thats why they sell them so cheap,old stock?

More than likely that's the reason. They're just trying to get rid of some of the older stuff.

called costa this morning, this style case was discontinued a year ago, they still have some in stock but once they are gone no more will be made.

they did confirm that my glasses are real and the temple piece is supposed to say made in Italy.

Got mine in yesterday as well. I think I will continue to wear my Triple Tails when fishing but they are nice glasses. The only problem is a good amount of light comes in from the top and sides since they are so small. But they look 100% legit to me. I may leave the triple tails in the tackle box now so I never forget them again.

Get this garbage. My hook up was supposed to get me a pair of fathoms at his cost of $40. Well as time went on he's been a no show. Well today I see him at crew change and he says , hey man I got your glasses. I was like cool deal. Well, he gives them to me and the have a skull and crossbones on the side. The frame saiys made in China. I was like dude, what he heck is a calcutta? He says that's some costa's. I said really, he said yeah just like em. Well needless to say, I didn't get costas. However, before I left the platform, there was a school of fish down in the water> From as high as I was it looked like a cloud until I put the glasses on. I could see every fish. I've never owned a pair of costas, so i really wouldn't know the difference. These do have the vent holes on the side. He even had the nerve to put a costa lanyard on them with the costa logo.

well the calcuttas are nowhere near costas but they are decent glasses. they just dont hold up for very long and $40 sounds high for calcuttas. i heard the mirror finish will start to come off the lenses after a few months of use.
