Mud motor and a pop up blind is the way to go on public land. That's what I do and we have a blast.

Been hunting public land for years so have the boys they started out there with me at age 8 both of them we have the boats and all gear I'm just looking to make things alittle easier and safer for them when I'm gone
Please keep y'all's ears open and let me know if y'all hear of anything

Anyone know anything about the port barre and bunkie area I never hunted it how is it I found a couple there

Just got the map it's in palmetto just off of 71 how's that area

Good area. I used to shoot a lot of ducks off hwy 71. Closer to hwy 190 from palmetto.

Stay away from Port Barre. Anything that's still available won't be worth a crap.

I'm pretty sure that's where Im talking about. Is the property for the Grizaffi's? Had most of that to myself on the north side of that road. I had 9, 10, 11, and 12 to myself. Guy Don Williams sold the property and they put a crapload of blinds out there. Wasn't half that many blinds when I hunted it. Had some awesome hunts out there. What they want per blind?

My goodness, I would run from that place You can expect to have people clsoe on public land and ducks flaring from shots nearby but I would not pay $5k for the same 'experience' on private land. Good luck with your search. Like said, the good blinds have waiting lists and if they have one available now its probably a garhole.

5000 a blind I think ill stay away from that crowd. And again I'm looking at booking a 3 gun hunt every time so I'm looking at 600 dollar days I also work offshore I have 48 days off and when I'm off m hunting
