i had the kumho mt on an f250 they last along time and was very quiet. they only come in a few sizes so you would have to check to see if they fit

I had the BFG AT's and the Firestone Destination A/T's on my old F150. Really liked them both. Worked fine, since I was on concrete, gravel, dirt roads 90% of the time anyway. Worked fine in the mud too.
I didn't want anything noisey! I'm looking for some for my new truck. Leaning towards the Nitto terragrappler A/T's. BFG's are too danged expensive for 20" rims! |

I put some 33x12.50r17 mickey thompson atz's a few months ago and paid either 1,000 or 1,100. The set of tires I bought before that was some 35x12.50r16 buckshots for my tahoe and paid 600 for them lol.

I have a set of IROK radials on my jeep. Several trips to Hot Springs and other offroad parks in addition to 25k+ on the pavement and still have some tread left. Pretty quiet on the street and great offroad. I will be getting another set soon

I had 70k miles on the BFG A/T's I'd get them again, but they are almost $400 a tire now for the size I need.

I have been looking at the Maxxis Bighorns today and really like the way they look. Also the price is pretty reasonable.

per tirerack:
305/55/20 BFG AT - $379 305/55/20 Nitto A/T - $256 (priced locally) This is what I am leaning towards. BTW - This is only the next size up from factory size on the 2010 F150 4x4 that will still fit without a lift. |

I was told I didn't need the leveling kit for the tire, but I put one already anyway. Just made the truck look right ya know. Those mentioned above are 33's. I was told I could fit 35's with my leveling kit, but don't want to F up the gas mileage. So I'm sticking with 33's. Twisted did my leveling kit for me.

I put a leveling kit on my new tundra, Im running the 20" rims with some nitto terra grapplers. Prolly got about 20k on them right now. they ride really well on pavement. Almost got stuck with them at the lease last week. Dont seem to clean off very well in the mud. A few good spins and your all slicked up.

Can't go wrong with the Toyos even though they are high.
-Toyo MT (mud tire) -Toyo AT (alterain) Nitto just released a new mud tire comparable to the Toyo. It is supposed to be really quiet and have a good wear characteristics much like the Toyos. The key to any tire lasting is ROTATION ROTATION ROTATION... Rotate at every oil change, and they will last... |
