Guys lets please not hijack the thread, save it for the gill net.

Some people like to fish bait, some do not. Ford v/s Chevy or whatever. Each side thinks they are right. At the end of the day the rules are the rules and it dosen't matter.

Wasn't planning to post until tomorrow but this thread needs to get back on track!
I appreciate the the kind words from everyone.
The shootout was a team effort, you can't pull off an event like this on your own. Green shirts at the point did a great job of making the chairman look good and I thank them for their effort! ! Please understand, this event was three months in the making and still did not come together until Friday . I do believe the online leader board was one my best ideas of all time and thank Casey for green lighting the idea. Next year salty cajun will be listed as the official web link for the shootout.
Last, thank you to all that participated! Your support makes it possible to hold events like the shootout and fishing seminar.

If the Shootout was artificial only it would have 10 entries like every other artificial only trout tournament on Big Lake. Low entry fee, live bait and high payout for first is the way to draw people. The Shootout has proven this year after year as no other trout tournament on Big Lake even comes close in number of entries.

My buddy and his dad went this Mornin to the same spot. His dad caught a 8lb 11oz. Leadin the star right now

Great job Top Dawg! You had to sweat that fish out 5hrs. It would have drove me crazy having to wait it out like that. Again, Congrats!
