Default Thursday at the Point

Took my boys out for a couple of hours at the Point Thursday before their homeschool cranks back up tomorrow. My 4-year-old got hot pretty quick, but a nice big rain cloud came up soon and made things bearable. Fished Weeks Bay for a couple of hours with shrimp on the bottom near a 15-ft dropoff and caught numerous croaker. My 8-year-old landed a nice 21" red and a flounder, and my 6-year-old pulled in an even nicer flounder. The rain hovered around but never came. We had a good time for my youngest boy's first fishing trip. Gonna have crabmeat-stuffed flounder tomorrow night!

Default Young ones

Yes, they do grow up quickly! It's probably not the easiest thing to take 3 of them at that age by myself, but the memories made will last a lifetime! I usually bring a buddy along to help.

Default Finished Product

Stuffed the flounder with crabmeat and then made crab balls with the leftover crabmeat and fried them along with the fish......wow, very good!
