Fun Day
After yesterdays fishing event the heros were going inshore fishing to round off a great weekend. This gave me a day off so I got hold of Cowboy and his brother Wa. We made a quick run for some state water red snapper. The forecast was for the winds and seas to build durring the day. What else is new????? I went straight to the place we started out yesterday. The seas were only 1/3 of yesterday and the fish were jumping on board. We were throwing these keepers back. They were on the top about 5-7 seconds down so no venting was necessary. We were picking just the choice ones. In about 15 minutes we had half of our limit. In 30 minutes we had 9 nice ones and Cowboy was starting to get queezy so we headed to the barn. The fish were well iced down and the seas were building as promised. I just had one wave come over the bow and I was not ready for a repeat of yesterday. For those that do not know I have a 26 Glaicer Bay that is built for rough seas. Once back at the dock we had to wait for the restaurant to open so we could have lunch. Nice quick hit! Life is Good! Fishing is not a matter of life or death. It's more important than that. CAPT HOOP -- OUR FREEDOM |

Smallest kept was 8 pounds. That 1 equates to about 4 commercial red snapper.
