They never have any when I go to get them. I prefer the jugs of gulp anyway. You don't get many deformed ones that way.

I have no problems with longevity. They don't sling off the hook when whipping it, crabs and other water thugs don't steal it, and it works. This is compared to dead and live bait.

After 1 fish on the swim mullet, the tail usually tears off.. Dought that has anything to do with the jighead...
