Great Trout Bite!
Another ordinary big day on the DU! 300 plus trout caught on this day alone. The Rueschhoff family of 4 brothers drove in from ST Louis,MO to get a taste of our south Louisiana trout fishing. After the 12 hour drive they were ready for some R&R at the 'Lakehouse Lodge'! Jim,Ken,Tom and Don were totally amazed at the sheer numbers of fish caught in only one day. We jumped all over the trout catching 125 fat trout by 8:30 and barely beat the bad weather back to the lodge. LSU Bayou Chubs did the trick and the guys had never caught so many fish 2 at a time! It was a beautiful calm morning as the gulf was laid down slick. Just the way we like it! Good luck fishing.
