Nice. That sounds like a good run. What's the area around GI looking like right now?

About a 20 mile run North - sometimes I run to Little Lake, further north.

Water has been really pretty, tons of bait. Not many people on GI after Labor Day. Saw no other boats yesterday, other than a few duck hunters.

Right now. 30 knot winds and nasty. We are waiting on my son to come in and we 'might' try it again, but GoreTex will be needed. :-)

I have a camp on the water and it is a pretty easy run in a 24 YF / 300 Yam. About a 20 minute ride.

Left 'em biting yesterday and headed back to Houston. Weather is perfect. Low tides have been very, very low this week, so know the waters you plan to run.
Good luck and spend a few bucks with the locals at Yum's or Starfish. Miss Leoda, at Yums, makes crazy good roast beef po-boys and muffalettas, homemade cinnamon roles too. Starfish burgers and shrimp po-boys are solid.

Yum's is just 2 street towards the Sureway from Starfish on the bayside of LA1. Small Yellow concrete block building on corner. Not much on the outside, but nice and clean inside. Miss Leoda does a killer 'debris roast beef po-boy' on homemade po-boy bread and finishes it in a panini press for maybe 20 seconds!, Mexican and Greek Wraps and has daily lunch specials. Open Tues - Sat normally.
