I have used string method with great sucess. Heavy mono is the key to that lil trick.

I agree, pretty ignorant to purposely hook yourself.

Funny you say that. Thats one of my party tricks just to see who has a weak stomach. Try looping a 9/0 hook through your forearm and watch the room clear out. Can never get past the barb on that big hook though. Skin is pretty damn tough.
