After being cooped up for days and what appeared to be an approaching weather window, I jumped at the chance to go trout scouting. Capt. T Miller called me and I was down like 4 flat tires. We left the dock at 2:00 and ran south until we found emerald green water. Throwing plastics we were hooked up on the 3rd cast. I landed a nice 3 pounder. We found steady action around structure in 6-8 ft of water, mostly being slightly larger than school trout. We left biting trout to go find more biting trout and that's exactly what happened. Pulled up to another structure and we found them stacked. Every cast we were getting bit. At 5:20 we had 40 fish and T said 10 more minutes and we gotta roll. 10 minutes later we had 50 on ice. Sure was great to see that sort of action as it has been awhile! Check my online calendar for available dates if you are interested in fishing with me. Capt.
