I like 3 days before and 3 days after full and new moon. On a full moon I've always done better in afternoon. JMO

Them guys put in the work though day in and out, For the regular guys that fish a few times a month the tide charts and moon charts could help save a day!

They'll eat every day. Focus on the major and minor time (solunar tables) and be at your best spots during those times and try not to be running somewhere during those times. They will eat mid day is on fullmoon. Even if they fed all night, shrimp digest fast and a trouts metabolism this time of year is plenty fast, so they'll be ready to eat again sometime during that day...it's just a matter of trying to be at the right place at the right time with the right current and structure.

I look at some of these replies and just scratch my head....you wanna see on a particular day when you wanna fish and see when the moon rises and sets...for example, if moon rises at 3am and sets at 4pm ,add up the hours and divide by 2 . that would be 930am and would be when the moon is passing over the area you want to fish...if 930 is moonover ,basically 730 to 1130 the fishing will be best....the moonunder would be at 930pm...that's the minor feeding time....I don't fish at night lol....other factors like tide movt, wind play a factor too as you know.....good luck

Also Barometer plays a part too on tide.

All good info here. I use the moon and tide times as a tool, not an ultimate factor. There's always current moving somewhere in the bay no matter what the weather is doing. It's nice when it matches up and you can be on the structure where the fish are with a good current and a predicted major or minor feed time.

I follow moon phase "everytime" and know when the moon over or under will be and try to hit it during that day's time and when the tide is falling...when the moon is chasing a falling tide, im gonna be there if that's my day to fish.....wind direction will first determine where I go whether its N,W,E or S...you can also bet im bringing live bait unless its later in the fall or early early spring.....I have yrs of posts over at rodnreel under my name and I have posted tons of info and believed in the wind and moon for yrs and works for me....

I saw Biggun fishing and not eating and we caught fish. When he ate something he wasn't fishing and he didn't catch fish. Now I try to fish when ever I can cause never can tell if he is eating or fishing.
