I think you will be starting around the right place, flounder run is not on yet in the channel.

had a tough trip thursday over there, just trying to stay out of wind. Found a few on deeper reefs but never really got on em. Others' reports obviously better than mine but ill post my findings today

Thanks guys. Turners and LNG plant is really only area we used to fish. Going to be there 3 days so may try and run to jetties one day if wind allows and try and catch some bull reds

I am not the best to give any advice however from watching a lot of the post on here and having recently went out twice with a guide the best advice I can offer would be to watch the lake for the birds. There is a decent amount of shrimp and bait so if you watch the birds you will be close to the fish. Also Ive seen a lot of post about reds in shallow waters along the marsh waiting to ambush the shrimp so if you wants reds be sure to have some shrimp and fish any shallow openings along the grass beds. Good Luck to you!

I went this past weekend and fished from I-10 to monkey island. Caught a decent mess of fish in prien on the flats just off the main channel. I would get in about 4 foot of water and cast back into the channel. Also, had a good day in lng on Friday. As someone else stated birds are working well if calm but a lot of throw backs and gaft tops under them. Makes for easy and fun fishing if you aren't familiar with the lake.
