You'd need the money for the last one to pay the fuel bill of the 1st one.

I went earlier right when they opened with one of my little future fisherman. STopped by the booth but W was off playing on Bourbon St or something. I think someone mentioned him getting free drinks at the Bourbon pub? ha
Stopped by Marsh Works and stocked up. Everything is built to last really. Cant wait to go throw some next weekend. I had the chance to get a Shearwater last year. A good friend of mine had a 22 decked to the gills with a 225zuki and got ill. 2 yrs old with less than 40hrs and could have picked it up for less than 30! Should have then but wife was prego (again) Boat show was nice. Plenty of good looking boats. Me being in the marine electronics biz I like to dig around in the hulls and see the attention to detail. One through me off. I really like the Majeks but man o man, clean up that wiring mess in the bilge! |

Good friend of mine has a 33' tv. Stay away from them. His is 2 years old and takes on water on one side and fuel tank leaks due to ethanol eating through a fiberglass tank. Now the owner told him the worst part is that the wood throuout the boat will probably rot. They want him to sell it and buy an Americat. Tvee will not honor the warranty from past boats. He used his 5-6 times.

It is a well known fact that E-10 eats up fiberglass tanks. I can't believe they still put them in boats these days. Boats from the 60' and 70's had them, but most boats started using alum. and steel in the 80's.

Yeah he is upset. I went to his boat shed to check out some electronics and the left side of the boat was full of water and strong fuel odor. (again) When he talked to them they even said they are learning from their mistakes. I would be past mad.

What really surprised me is how much wood is used in the hull.

I was fishing with my friend in Perdido Bay last year when we saw a 32' catamaran ripping thru the bay. We were just commenting on how ugly the boat was. When it got close enough we could see the name on the boat, "Butt Ugly". Funny stuff... I hear they ride sweet.

They do ride great. I ran a 26' after Katrina for Sea Tow. I put that hull through hell and back. They are definitely a stripped down boat for fishing thats it. No fishing boxes unless you get the option behind the leaning post.
