Did you fish in oyster lake? I always catch them along the broken islands on the right. Throw spinnerbaits or manns mid minus 1 crank baits.

Try to find some moving water near a deep channel but the key is to have cover near by (submerged grass, reeds, pilings...etc). Keep at it, the fish are there.

Its almost 6 miles from the point to the game warden camp on the north end of the island. If you travel at a heading of 180 deg from the point.
