2010 Trout SPR is 18%
Not only is our fishery healthy but Big Lake has lower limits and has a better SPR than any other area!! What does this mean? Means 18% of our trout get to the spawning age. I have always said it....keep your estuary healthy and your fish will follow!!!

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 18 times per day. Or to be more correct.....ask 6 times, and you would "hit the jack pot". |

Trout spawn in the dark, under the covers. Who is holding the candle and who is counting how many are spawning??? Just a guesstamate, in my opinion.
There is a WAG or theory for everything. |

18% doesn't sound very good to me either. It doesnt say anything about actually spawning just "spawning age"
