Dang, that dude became a "projectile". I guess that's why they tell you to keep you bowling ball in the trunk instead of the back seat of your car...

As does EVERYTHING in a vehicle when it's not restrained. It doesn't bother me when people don't wear their seatbelts but why wouldn't you? I understand the points of "it's my right if I want to wear it or not"...true, it is your right but is it right to your family when you get killed because you got thrown through your windshield into a telephone post?

You know why you don't have the choice and it's a law, It's because some people are too stupid for their own good so the government has to babysit them

Just wear your seat belt. If I hadn't been wearing mine on 9/29/2003, I wouldn't be here today. 'nuff said.

I'm a 'believer'. In 1984, I flipped a Bronco 3 times and walked away with a broken collar bone and a few scratches...

i give up yall win. i know im on the wrong side of this arguement. and i do wear my seat belt most of the time. just don't like the fact that it is forced. and really makes me mad that our goverment spends so much on trying to enforce this law and there is so many more things the police should be worried about.

I agree with you that it shouldn't be forced. Just like I don't think it should be forced for people to wear helmets when riding a motorcycle.

I don't have to think seat belts save lives, I am living proof. Back in 95 I had just turned 18 when I wrecked getting on the interstate. I put the hood threw the passenger side seat on my truck when I rear ended some dumb*** that had stopped in the acceleration lane. I walked away from a wreck that i know would have ejected me if I wasn't wearing my seat belt. So I wear mine every time I get in my vehicle.

Just put your seatbelt on like or not. IT IS NOT THAT HARD. If you have the mindset that it should be your decision, well I feel for you.

On another note how do you'll feel about the ban they are trying to put on eating while driving?

I don't think there should be a ban on eating while driving or texting while driving or talking on the phone while driving or any other activity they can think up. How about putting a law in place that states it's illegal to drive a vehicle while engaging in anything that may alter your ability to drive safely??? That way everything is covered. When you are behind the wheel you should only be concentrating on driving, not all the other things.

W, you broke the law and got a ticket. It happens to all of us. No different than fishing behind the "sign" at THE WEIRS......Seems you only like the laws that suit your needs! I got a speeding ticket during duck season by a trooper doing 67 in a 55 you did not see me on hear about it.......BTW, I was able to get it reduced to court cost!
