anyone else heard of this? I heard cinco de mayo in the US was introduced by corona to sell more beer. just like hallmark with mothers day/fathers day/ and the like. I assume its a real holiday in mexico but here it was publicized by corona

There was a video of the boys, in the video the news crew quoted one of the Mexican-American girls saying some dumb crap about how Cinco De Mayo is about Mexico's Independence.....what and ****ing idiot lol

It was an obscure holiday that no one in Mexico celebrated until Corona Beer used it as an ad campaign to sell more beer. It worked.
