I fished Pirate's Cove Saturday for the McDonald's tournament. It has a lot of good grass, we picked up a few small fish there.

we ended the day with 2 bass, one went 4.83oz and 2 catfish (spotted and a channel) about 5 lbs/each and a small cooler of bream with a few bluegill mixed in. (Think the cooler was one of those 6 pack coolers)

Isn't a bream and bluegill the same thing?

I have fished Pirates Cove before and just haven't had much luck. Grew up fishing the South Dam area so tend to still trailer the boat to South Dam when we stay at Pirates Cove.

Let me know how the bass are doing if anyone is up there. I will be up there next weekend. Love to fish the schooling bass. Are they showing up yet?

Understand about the late start. Hard to get up after drinking with the guys on fishing trips.

I am looking forward to being up there next weekend. We have been staying at Fin and Feather on the TX side because they have some nicer accomodations and larger cabins, but they were booked so we got one of the tiny cabins at Pirates Cove.

Will also be meeting up with a friend that weekend to fish up near the bridge near midlake. He has a camp up there and I have been wanting him to show me around that part of the lake and we are finally up there on the same weekend. I will let ya'll know how I do.

Wish I were up there during the tourney that Fliesitdies is putting on. Would be fun to meet everyone.
