Default Big Lake 6/3

We caught a 3 man limit of reds, 2 keeper specks, and 3 flounder. All reds/flounder were caught in the marsh behind Grand Bayou on gulp shrimp/swimming mullet. On our way back we fished a set of birds. Under the birds we caught 2 keepers and at least 15 undersized trout. They were caught on Big Nasty eels. No pics... we divided up the fish before it could be done.

Nice job man, you outfished us yesterday. I had heard that the water over on the east side was better than expected and clean in the marsh. Joe's cove was very clean.

I wanted to go, but the weather sucked bad in Lake Charles. I woke up and looked at the radar and there were squalls coming up from the gulf.
Went back to bed.
Same this morning, except the weather looked worser than yesterday.

Default weather..

I hear you Ray. The only reason we went yesterday is because it looked like the big squall had shrunk in size over the last 2 hours. So, we thought is must be dumping all its rain and will be over soon. Yeah, we got kind of lucky with the weather yesterday.
